Frederick McKinley

Today at work somebody was talking about transporting fresh milk from New Zealand to Europe (long story lol) and it made me think of Fredrick McKinley Jones. Born in 1893 in Cincinnati Oh, Jones was an African American inventor who had several patents surrounding refrigeration and engines. Jones was awarded a patent for an automatic refrigeration system for long haul trucks and another for an improved method of preserving perishable food in transit. Among the refrigeration patents he was also awarded patents for a ticket dispensing machine, thermostat control system, and air conditioner unit.
